Donors to The Anderson College Fund give unrestricted gifts that provide flexibility for funds to be used in the areas where they are most needed. Anderson College continually strives to improve its academic programs through new and expanded majors, recruitment of the best faculty, new facilities and equipment, internships, faculty-student research projects, library enhancement and programs designed to challenge minds.
Students directly benefit from the generosity of donors through increased scholarship funds and financial aid,, intramural and intercollegiate athletics, student activities, campus ministries, and programs designed for career development.
Anderson College serves the local community in diverse ways. Your gift helps support the arts at The Callie Stringer Rainey Fine Arts Center, educate senior citizens through "Learning in Retirement," or assist local families who are hurting or in need through one of the college's many community ourtreach programs.

Anderson College Points of Excellence
2003-2004
• Dr. Evans P. Whitaker was inaugurated as the twelfth president of Anderson College on October 3, 2003.
• Anderson College entered into a partnership with The Washington Center, a non-profit educational organization providing full-time internships and short-term academic seminars. The Washington Center is the largest full-time internship program in the Nation’s Capitol. Only two schools from South Carolina are affiliated with the Center.
• Dr. David S. Shirley was named as the first full-time director of adult education at Anderson College. The evening program (ACCEL) continues to be a tremendous asset for the college and the community.
• Anderson College athletics had another outstanding year. AC led the Carolina’s-Virginia Athletic Conference with 89 student-athletes on the Presidential Honor Roll (3.0 – 4.0 GPA). Conference championships were also won in women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s tennis.
• Anderson College’s enrollment continued to set record numbers. The head count reached 1,702. The residence halls were at capacity and 63% of the freshman class had a GPA of 3.5 or better orandor an SAT of 1200 or better.
• The $7.2 million campaign for a new library for Anderson College surpassed $4.1the $3.04.1 million. level. $5.4 million is needed to begin construction.
• Anderson College received a $400,000 HUDHVD Grant for a community revitalization project in the Reed Street area of Anderson.
• Community service hours by faculty and students exceeded 10,000 hours for the second straight year.
• There were 68 first -time decisions for Christ over the past year.
• Over 150 student summer missionaries represented Anderson College in various fields of service and ministry.
• Anderson College continued to be recognized as a Teaching Fellows Institution by the South Carolina State Department of Education. AC’s allotment of students who receive Teaching Fellows scholarships doubled in view of consistently increasing student demand for Anderson College.The number of scholarships available to Anderson College doubled in recognition of the number of outstanding students choosing to come to AC.AC’s allotment of students who receive Teaching Fellows scholarships doubled in view of consistently increasing student demand for Anderson College.

The college experienced its largest enrollment in history with 1500 students.

More than thirty percent of entering freshmen had a high school grade point average of 3.5 or better and a score of at least 1200 on the SAT.

The average grade point average for entering freshmen was 3.35, the fourth consecutive year at 3.1 or better.

Construction began on a new $3.5 million residence hall that will house 140 students.

The college received five student-faculty annual research grants rom the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Foundation, the top number given to a single college this year by the foundation.

Restoration of the college's front campus was completed, including refurbishment of the columns on the Merritt Administration Building.

The college's endowment reached $14.8 million, a 44% increase since 1995.

New academic majors were added in Spanish, mathematics, and computer information systems. A new concentration was added in church music.

The college graduate its largest class since it began awarding baccalaureate degrees in 1993.

The accelerated degree program for adults exceeded all expectations with 231 enrolled.
