NCATE Accreditation
During the Spring of 2002, Anderson College's Teacher Education program was accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Being an NCATE institution means that Anderson College meets specific national standards for quality and accountability in its Teacher Education Program. The NCATE distinction makes Anderson College one of more than 18 institutions in South Carolina and more than 540 nation-wide to be nationally accredited. Being nationally accredited is not only helpful to the institution but also the graduates of the Teacher Education Program. It indicates teacher education graduates are competent, caring, and highly qualified.
