The College will provide evaluation forms, which outline the requirements for the individual field experiences. The College will provide an orientation to review the Field Experience program sessions for cooperating teachers who have not previously had an Anderson College teacher candidate. Cooperating teachers will evaluate the orientation sessions. The cooperating teacher will evaluate the student’s performance through the “Cooperating Teacher Evaluation of Field Experience”. The evaluation will cover the strengths and weaknesses of the teacher candidate as demonstrated in the field experience. The cooperating teacher will also evaluate the effectiveness of the Field Experience Program and College Supervisor. Last, the College supervisor will evaluate all components, (teacher candidate, cooperating teacher, individual field experience) of the Field Experience Program at the end of the semester by signing the form and writing comments. All evaluation forms on individual candidates will be kept in the candidate’s Permanent Cumulative File in the office of the Division of Education. Education 484/494/495/496 (Student Teaching) will require more extensive evaluation procedures. These procedures are outlined in the Student Teaching Handbook. The College supervisor assigns final grades for all field experiences based on student teaching performance and final evaluation scores on the ADEPT Performance Standards.
