For admission to the graduate program, Anderson College will attempt to select only those students who show promise of being academically successful. As required for general admission each applicant’s record will be examined for evidence reflecting potential for intellectual and social growth, strength of character, and seriousness of purpose. The major factors considered in admission decisions for the graduate program are as follows:
Completed application form accompanied by an official transcript of student’s academic records from every college and university previously attended

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution

Valid teaching certificate or eligibility for one

At least a 2.5 GPA on the last 60 hours of college courses

3 letters of reference.
A Graduate Studies Committee will have the responsibility of accepting only those candidates who meet the requirements as set forth in the graduate school admission’s policy. The Graduate Studies Committee will consist of the Division Head of Education, one Division of Education faculty member who does not teach in the graduate program, and one faculty member outside the Division of Education. Please contact the graduate school admissions department for an application.

Completed application must have been received by April 15 th prior to Summer enrollment. |
PROVISIONAL ADMISSION
Promising applicants who hold a baccalaureate degree but do not meet the formal requirements listed above may be granted provisional admission. Full graduate standing is granted when these students satisfactorily complete prescribed courses or otherwise remove deficiencies. They must meet any special conditions attached to their admission. They must meet any special conditions attached to their admission, by either The Graduate School Studies Committee, no later than upon the completion of 15 semester hours of graduate credit.
Among provisionally admitted applicants may be the following:

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution who lack undergraduate work considered essential for graduate study.

Applicants whose scholastic records are below admission standards who give evidence that unavoidable extenuating circumstances affected their undergraduate record, but that progressive improvement took place.
