MISSION

The purpose of Anderson College and the Teacher Education Program is to provide, within a Christian community, quality liberal arts education for a diverse student body that will prepare graduates for both a livelihood and a rewarding life. Moreover, the Teacher Education Program seeks to develop candidates who are builders of knowledge, community, and values and who strive for excellence both in and out of the classroom.

PURPOSE/GOALS

The purposes and goals of the Teacher Education Program at Anderson College are:

  • to prepare student to be effective teachers in their area(s) of specialization;
  • to deliver a program that meets and/or exceeds standards of accrediting bodies;
  • to add and strengthen certification areas to meet the needs of the community and the larger society.

ACCREDITATION

Anderson College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association ofColleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097) to award the master level degree.
