Rob Miller - Head Coach

Miller, a native of Columbus, Ohio, is entering his seventh season as head coach of the Anderson University men's soccer team. The 2008 season was a banner year for the men's soccer program at AU, as Miller was named Conference Carolinas Coach of the year, placing five players on the all-conference team. The Trojans finished the season 12-5-3 overall and 7-1-2 in Conference Carolinas, garnering a second place finish in the post-season tourney in the process.

In seven seasons, Miller has led the Trojans to seven consecutive trips to the Conference Carolinas Tournament.

He enters the '08 season with a career record of 147-121-15.

Miller is extremely active in soccer at both the local and state levels. He holds numerous clinics for area youth soccer players. He serves as director of coaching for the Clemson-Anderson Soccer Alliance.

Miller also has international experience. He led a United States team to a silver medal in the Outback Games in Australia.

Before accepting the job at Anderson in February '02, Miller spent seven seasons at Cumberland College. At Cumberland, he led the Patriots to three Mid-South Conference championships and two regional tournament berths. His record at Cumberland was 89-56-5. He was named Mid-South Coach of the Year three times and Kentucky State Coach of the Year in 2000.

Miller spent five years on the Kentucky ODP staff and has been a member of the South Carolina ODP staff. Miller has also coached at the professional level. He coached the Lexington Bandits of the USL, and in the summer of '02, he was the head coach of the Greenville Lions of the PDL.

Miller holds a Premier Coaching Diploma and an Advanced National Diploma from NSCAA.

Prior to entering coaching, Miller played at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois where he was a first-team All-Chicagoland selection and team captain. Miller finished his career with 20 goals and 28 assists.

Miller lives in Anderson with his wife, Wendy, and four daughters, Summer, Kylie, Paige, and McKenzie

Stewart Hudspeth - Assistant Coach

Hudspeth is entering his second year as an assistant coach for the Trojans.

He served as the assistant coach for the Anderson University Lady Trojans in 2006, and now assists the men's team along with serving as the head coach of the junior varsity program.

He played two seasons at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ky. He started for the nationally ranked Patriots and earned All-Conference honors. He finished his career at Auburn University, where he coached and captained the club team to the national tournament and the nation’s best record of 21-1. He also coached the Auburn High School boys' team during the '03 and '04 seasons.

Hudspeth, who holds a NSCAA National Diploma and NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma, has served as a trainer/coach for the Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance since '06. He is currently furthering his education by pursuing his masters in education at Anderson University.

Hudspeth has also been a South Carolina State ODP evaluator.

Prior to coming to Anderson in '06, Hudspeth was on staff with YoungLife, a nondenominational youth ministry, in Antelope, Oregon. He continues volunteering with YoungLife locally along with various other organizations in the community.
