01/17/2010 - SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Anderson wrestling team earned scores in three of the final six bouts but fell, 30-12, to Shippensburg State Saturday night at Heiges Field House.
The Anderson grapplers dropped the opening four bouts to fall behind 15-0, while senior J.J. Jackson, who is ranked third in the East region, got AU on the scoreboard with a 9-4 decision past Bill Purvis at 157 pounds.
The Trojans suffered pins at the next two classes, but claimed wins in two of the three final matchups, as freshman Bryan Glace recorded a win at 184 when the Raiders Jon Hade suffered a forearm to the mouth and had to forfeit. AU senior Luis Audelo followed with a 3-2 win at 197 pounds.
Anderson will be back in action on Friday and Saturday at the East Regional Duals hosted by Newberry.
