AU Lifelong Learning celebrates Stephen Sondheim


If you have enjoyed the music of Jerome Kern, Oscar Hammerstein II, Richard Rodgers, George and Ira Gershwin, and Leonard Bernstein, it’s time for you to meet Stephen Sondheim. Combining lecture, video, and live performances by local artists, this program will introduce or reintroduce the man whose lyrics and music first touched Americans in “West Side Story” in 1957.

Five-week program meets on Thursdays, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8, and 15. Course leader: Dick Cockrell. Registration: $20 for five-week series. Pre-registration is required.
